Phase I Environmental Site Assessments
Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs) are used to identify environmental concerns, or potential environmental concerns, that could create liability for a property owner, seller, or lender. All of our Phase I ESAs are completed in accordance with ASTM standards. We can also modify our format to conform to the requirements of individual lenders or owners. Our Phase I ESA is an important part of satisfying the due diligence requirement of the Superfund Act.
If desired, the SCG Phase I ESA can include a limited asbestos identification survey, a lead paint survey, radon survey, or other specific requirements.
If the Phase I ESA indicates that a potential environmental condition exists at the site or on a nearby property, we have the capabilities to perform Phase II sampling activities, including soil and groundwater sampling.
